Not Following My Gut
Not Following My Gut
by slave ricky
Sub: Yes, i have experience in seeking and finding a Master, Sir.
i was owned for almost five years until my Master was relocated by his company and was unable to take me with Him, Sir.
i had sought a Master and submitted to numerous Dominants for several years before i was collared and have again begun seeking a Master now that i am unowned, again submitting to those who are interested, Sir.
When i first started out, well before i was owned and while i was still naive, i was injured enough by a Dominant i agreed to submit to that it required medical attention and took some time to recover form both physically and mentally, Sir.
i have experience in needing to decifer which Dominants are those i believe can trust and which i am too unsure of. It is not always easy to know whom to believe, Sir.
Dom: Care to share your experience of being injured, what happened, why you allowed it to happen and what you might have done differently to keep it from happening? Might be helpful to some here.
Sub: The Dom was into pummeling the sub with His fists in boxing gloves once the boy was tied up. I had met Him through a friend who told me He was safe. The friend was a Dom who I am sure believed what He said but of course had never submitted to the Man. I met with the Man before doing anything in a bar, public enough, and allowed His hands and mouth to do some exploring as He wished. Nothing more, although He got a little rough, but nothing out of the ordinary. He did, however, have several beers, as did I, and I went home with Him from the bar.
Two hours later, when I went home, I had 2 broken ribs, an injured spleen and I had lost the hearing in one ear for 6 months.
What would I do differently? The main one is follow my gut. I knew this Man was going to be trouble, but I did not listen to myself. I trusted the Dom who had recommended this guy to me. I also would never again go home from bar with a guy who had been drinking or submit to a Man who has been drinking. Nor have I ever again had alcohol in a bar or anywhere else when I am seeking a Dom to serve. Mineral water only for me now. I also now meet the first time only to get to know each other, but nothing more. If there is going to be more, we can plan that for another time. If the chemistry is there, it will stay there.
All of the basic advice -- meeting in a neutral place, get references, let a friend know where I am, etc. None of that made any difference. What it really came down to and what has served me well since is to keep my wits about me and to follow my gut.
