How I Use Floggers & Whips by Master Phillip Moore
I do not at all see it as floggers vs whips. They both have their place and give very different sensations. Some guys just like the thud of the flogger and do not really like sting but sting builds endorphins much faster. I like to start with a buckskin flogger. Soft and sweet. move to cowhide....gives a heavy thud and some sting. move to elk hide...heavier thud not much sting. add some sting with a cat o nine by Happy Tails... back to elk hide... now a double tails rubber flogger from Bare Leather Works that really wakes up the skin. Next I use a stiff single tail to do figure eights across the back with only the cracker caressing the skin. I gradually move in closer and begin to leave shallow stripes and then switch to a limber single tail that leaves heavy marks or cuts and by now the bottom is high as a kite on endorphins. He will usually stay high for a couple days. Loving connection, holding and caressing take place after I take the man down from the cross.
My favorite flogger is a very heavy elk hide triple tails flogger. It was very expensive but worth every penny. All my boys think it their favorite too. I bought it about fifteen years ago. My favorite whip is a happy tails four foot signal whip. I bought it from a friend who's partner passed away and he wanted to sell it to someone who would use it. I use it a lot. I like to give a good flogging first to wake up the skin and then move to lite single tailing and then to heavier whipping. I do not cut unless the bottom wants it.
